This Privacy Policy describes how Misha Enterprises Ltd. (“we”, “us”, or “our”), based in British Columbia, Canada, collects, uses, and discloses information when you use the Sausage Guru mobile application (“App”) and the website at sausageguru.online (“Site”), including the Sausage Guru recipe library.
By using the App or Site, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Website membership
- Account information: When you join the recipe library we collect your email address and a password. Passwords are stored in hashed form by our authentication provider, Supabase. We never see your password.
- Consent records: When you join, or change your email preferences, we record the date and time, the exact wording you were shown, which boxes you ticked, the page you were on and your browser’s user-agent. Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) requires us to be able to show this.
- Email preferences: Whether you have chosen to receive new recipe alerts and app news and offers.
- Add-to-app links: When you tap “Add to Sausage Guru” we create a temporary link that records which recipes it contains, your account and when it was used. These links expire after 24 hours and the records are deleted within 7 days after that.
- Reviews: If you rate or review a recipe, we store your star rating, comment and the display name you choose. Approved reviews are shown publicly with your display name and the date. Your email address is never shown.
- Security check: Our sign-up, log-in and password reset forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to block automated abuse. Turnstile processes technical information about your browser and connection to tell people from bots.
1.2 The App
- App content: Recipes, ingredients, notes, and other data you create within the App are stored locally on your device. Cloud tier users have this data synced to our servers.
- Cloud account: If you sign up for the Cloud tier, we collect your email address and a password (stored securely via Supabase).
- Importing from the library: When you open an add-to-app link, the App sends the link code to our server to download the recipes. No login, device identifier or other personal information is sent.
- In-app purchases: Purchases are handled by Google Play or the Apple App Store. We use RevenueCat to manage entitlements. RevenueCat may collect device identifiers and purchase history. See revenuecat.com/privacy.
- Crash and diagnostic data: We may collect crash logs to help fix bugs. This data does not include your recipe content.
1.3 Support
If you contact us at [email protected], we keep the content of your messages to help you.
1.4 Information We Do Not Collect
We do not collect location data, contacts, photos (other than images you explicitly add to recipes), browsing history, payment card details, or any other sensitive personal data. The website sells nothing.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide the recipe library and your member account
- To send account emails such as confirmations and password resets
- To send new recipe alerts or app news and offers, only if you opted in
- To provide and maintain the App, sync data for Cloud users, and verify purchases
- To respond to support requests and keep our services secure
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your recipe content for advertising.
3. Marketing Emails and Unsubscribing
We send marketing emails only to members who ticked the matching box. Every marketing email includes our contact details and an unsubscribe link. You can also switch emails off at any time on your account page. We process unsubscribe requests right away, and always within 10 business days.
4. Data Storage and Security
Website accounts, consent records, reviews and Cloud tier data are stored by Supabase in its Canada (Central) region, in Montréal. Some service providers listed below may process limited data outside Canada. For Free and Pro app users, recipe data stays on your device. We take reasonable technical measures to protect your information, including row-level access rules that keep each member’s data private, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

6. Children’s Privacy
Our services are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
7. Your Rights (PIPEDA)
Under Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act, you can access, correct or request deletion of your personal information. Members can delete their website account at any time from the account page, or email [email protected].
8. Data Retention
- Website account: kept until you delete it. Deleting it removes your email preferences, reviews and add-to-app links immediately.
- Consent records: kept after account deletion as proof of consent and withdrawal, as CASL requires, and then deleted when no longer needed for that purpose.
- Cloud account: synced data is permanently deleted within 30 days of account deletion.
