Is membership really free?
Yes. The recipe library is free for members and the website sells nothing. You only need an email address and a password.
How do I add a recipe to the app?
Open the recipe on your Android phone while logged in and tap Add to Sausage Guru. The app opens with a preview so you can confirm the import. On a computer, the button shows a QR code to scan with your phone. You don’t need to log in to the app.
What is a .sausageguru.json file?
It’s a Sausage Guru recipe file. Download it from any recipe page, then import it in the app from Recipes → ⋮ → Import Recipes. It works for backups and for sharing with friends, and newer app versions will always read older files.
My add-to-app link says it expired.
Links last 24 hours. Open the recipe again and tap Add to Sausage Guru for a new one.
Why isn’t my review showing?
Every review is checked before it appears, usually within a couple of days. Your review shows as “waiting for approval” on the recipe page until then. Editing a published review sends it back for a quick check.
How do I stop emails?
Use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email, or switch emails off on your account page. Account emails such as password resets still arrive.
How do I delete my website account?
Log in, open My account and use Delete account at the bottom. Recipes you already added to the app stay on your phone.

What is Sausage Guru?
A recipe management and batch scaling app for home and semi-pro sausage makers, smokers and charcutiers. Store, scale and organize recipes across 8 meat categories.
Which phones does it run on?
Android first, through Google Play. The iPhone version follows.
Does the app work without internet?
Yes. Recipes are stored on your device. You only need a connection to add recipes from the library or to use Cloud sync.
How does the batch scaler work?
Enter the weight of meat you’re working with, in kg or lb, and every ingredient updates, by direct ratio or by percent of meat.
How much does the app cost?
Free for up to 10 recipes. Pro is a one-time in-app purchase for unlimited recipes, PDF export and custom tags. Cloud adds sync across devices as a monthly subscription. See pricing.
What happens when I reach 10 recipes on the free plan?
Nothing is taken away. You can still view, cook from, edit and delete every recipe. To add more, remove one or upgrade in the app.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed by Google Play or the App Store. Cancel any time in your device’s subscription settings.
How do I delete my app Cloud account?
From the Settings screen in the app, or email us. Cloud data is permanently deleted within 30 days.
